Three NJ Transit Buses Involved in Collision at Midtown Bus Terminal; 12 Injured

A collision involving three NJ Transit buses at the Port Authority Midtown Bus Terminal early this morning has left a dozen people injured and caused major delays for commuters.

Port Authority Police say the incident occurred around 6:15 a.m., prompting a large emergency response. Twelve individuals sustained minor injuries, and one person was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Emergency personnel from NYC EMS and the FDNY responded to the scene, along with Port Authority Tunnel & Bridge agents. The express bus lane (XBL) ramp has been closed, and all bus traffic is currently being rerouted to the upper level of the terminal.

Officials have warned commuters to expect delays and to check with their transit carriers for updated service information.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision. No further details have been released at this time.
