Three new Special Police Officers join the Lakewood Police Department

Three new Special Police Officers have joined the Lakewood Police Department.

The new officers, who came from Seaside Heights and other Shore towns, are Carissa Pagnotta, Cameron Rose, and Joseph Dellavella.

Also known as Class 2, the officers are armed and generally placed as Court Officers to free up officers for the roads. They also serve as backup to other full-time officers.

Many of the Special Police Officers continue to become regular police officers.

The officers are currently undergoing in-house police training, and will begin working in the coming days.
