This Week: Over 1,200 Construction Pros Expected at CJAB’s Annual Grill-n-Chill BBQ in Lakewood

The Central Jersey Association of Builders (CJAB) will host its 6th annual Grill-n-Chill BBQ on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the brand-new LBS location, 301 Prospect Rd, Lakewood, NJ. The event is expected to draw more than 1,200 professionals from across the construction industry, including property owners, developers, builders, contractors, and vendors.

Now a staple on the industry calendar, the BBQ offers a relaxed setting for networking, collaboration, and camaraderie—bringing together colleagues and competitors alike. Guests can look forward to a lively atmosphere with grilling stations, hookah lounges, fire pits, and plenty of comfortable spaces for conversation and connection.

The event is open not only to industry veterans but also to those exploring careers in the building trades or seeking new opportunities.

“We’re excited to host this year’s BBQ at the new LBS location,” said Pinny Braun, CJAB President. “Our goal is to provide a platform where professionals can connect, share knowledge, and strengthen our community.”

With the construction industry continuing to grow and evolve, CJAB plays a vital role in fostering unity, innovation, and collaboration.
