As reported earlier this year, tolls on the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike and all Hudson River crossings will go up on January 1st.
For the Parkway and Turnpike, it will be the third straight year of toll increases.
Tolls on the Parkway are increasing from the current $1.96 for drivers using E-ZPass to $2.02 and from $2 to $2.10 for cash-paying motorists.
And on the Turnpike, the average toll will increase from $4.95 to $5.10 for passenger cars while E-ZPass users will go up an average of 16 cents during peak periods, and by 13 cents during non-peak travel times.
Locally, the Toms River plaza toll will go up from 97 cents to $1.01 for E-ZPass users and from $1 to $1.05 for drivers paying cash.
In addition, tolls will be going up on January 8th at the 8 bridges and tunnels controlled by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, connecting the two states.
E-ZPass users during off-peak hours would now pay $12.75, up from the current $11.75 and $14.75 for peak hour tolls, up from the current $13.75 toll for passenger vehicles.
Cash tolls would increase to $17.
The Port Authority controls eight bridges and tunnels connecting New Jersey and New York. They include the Outerbridge, Goethals Bridge, Bayonne Bridge, George Washington Bridge, Holland Tunnel and Lincoln Tunnel.
