1. SAD! We pay for enforcement. We get none. The state has to come in and provide it ,so we actually pay for it twice!

Leaders of the Lakewood community on Sunday sent an urgent message to the White House and to various leaders all across the Free World requesting emergency moral support and legal aid to help the community fend off “THEM”, namely the people who’ve recently arrived at their cars’ doorsteps to take away their freedom and sovereignty.
   “They’re back in town!” a Lakewood Township leader cryptically wrote in the email to the White House, while warning that, “Those who sit in silence and do nothing as Lakewood residents gradually lose their freedoms to “THEM”, will soon realize that THEY will be next on THEIR list.”
   “Today, THEY invade Lakewood, tommorow THEY might invade Washington DC, or the White House, or 10 Downing Street, or Biden’s Delaware basement!”
   “The ball is in YOUR court to protect the Lakewood motorist community, and to help defend our automobiles from THEM,” the email went on to warn, “or to remain oblivious to the invasion and, at some point in the near future, to witness the same invaders staked out near YOUR place of residence, or behind YOUR cars, jotting down YOUR license plate numbers!”
   However, despite the urgent request for assistance, sources within the Biden administration, who spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity on Sunday, insisted that the White House has no plans to engage in a full fledged war with “THEM”.
   “We’re not looking to start WW3,” he said, “we’ll offer the Lakewood community all the moral support it needs, and we’ll send them plenty of defensive weapons, like police radar detectors, functioning automobile turn signals, and working seat belts. But we’re not going to send them our prized White House attorneys to fight the invaders in court, because sophisticated offensive weapons of this nature could lead to an Armageddon of huge proportions that no one wants to see!”

   • Guys (and ladies), yes, cops can be strict and obtuse when dealing with drivers, but the real point is, just drive like a MENTCH, and give yourself TIME to do so.

     While there surely are too many cops who arent there for the benefit of the populace, there are PLENTY who do their job well.

     Sadly, there are too many drivers who just drive unsafely, irresponsibly, and inconsiderately. And when you get that ticket, just be mature about it k?

     Just want to mention as well, that most people here DO drive courteously! And all it takes is 2 in 10 (and its really even less than that, yes, I’ve tallied many times) to make a whole road look crazy!

   Take a picture of yourself and passengers seat belted before you drive.

   Not sure if it will help, but it can’t hurt.

7. Who passed this new rule that first 3 cars after a light turns red is permitted to go?!

   • Someone told me when I started coming around Lakewood that it’s called the “Lavud law”. That means that as long as you’re halfway into the intersection and within three tefachim of the bumper of the car in front of you, that you get to go. It sounds satirical, but it sort of makes sense in an unofficial kind of way considering that otherwise you would never get to make a turn if you’re at an intersection that doesn’t have a turn signal.

8. These cops are out to make money, they could care less about safety. The NJ state could care less about safety otherwise there would have been many changes to the roads and lights to help alleviate the congestion problems.

   To all who welcome them in, I hope and pray that you are the ones being stopped by them and no one else.

   After all it would be their word vs yours, and we all know who wins in court
