Submitted by the Gemach. The Pickup Gmach, servicing Lakewood families, is collecting Yom Tov clothing for children, current styles and excellent condition clothing in sizes 0-16 girls and 0-12 boys. 

If you appreciate your children’s clothing and you’d like it to be used by others who would likewise appreciate it, would hate for it to be wrinkled or rained on in the donation process, AND want it gone right away, hassle-free…then this pickup service is for you.

How To Use Our FREE, Fast Pickup Service:

1) Put the current, lightly used children’s clothing into a bag, tightly sealed to protect from rain

2) Label it “gmach”

3) Set it out and THEN text us at 848-525-6961, with your address, and/or instructions on where we can find the clothing (i.e. basement, porch etc.)

It will be picked up by a volunteer within 24 hours from when we are notified that it is out. Please leave out until it is picked up.

Note:

-We are a free pickup service for gently-used or new or current children’s clothing, passing it on to needy Lakewood families who don’t mind wearing used

clothing as long as it is current and in excellent condition (so it can hold up another time around and so they aren’t uncomfortable to wearing it). We operate a boutique and the families “shop” for free, “buying” the clothing that we collect. Although there may be some families who don’t mind dressing their children in clothing that is out of date and style, that is not the clientele this gmach services.

-If you have a lot of unusable clothing (pilled, torn, old, outdated, stained, went through many children…), Big Brothers Big Sisters does home pickups, 877-336-8828. If you have outdated clothing that is still usable (out of style but not ripped or stained, etc.), try Batya 201-47-PURPLe. 

-The pickup boutique’s slots are all filled at this time.
