The Lakewood Vaad this afternoon made endorsements for the upcoming General Election.
The Vaad provided TLS with the following statement:
“As we approach another Election Day, it is again time to make the effort to please VOTE.
A strong turn out and ACHDUS is vitally important, to assure that the basic needs of the Kehilla are a strong priority with our elected officials.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. Please take a few minutes to vote at your regular polling places. If you received a Vote-By-Mail Ballot, please fill it out and drop in the mail or drop it off at a Secure Ballot Drop Box location near you by November 8th. Please note: If you received a Vote-By-Mail Ballot, you will NOT be able to vote at your polling location, you must mail it back or vote provisional.
Many government officials on the Federal, County, and local levels of government have proven their long-term friendship to the Kehilla by providing essential leadership and support to our Kehilla, Mosdos HaChinuch, Chessed organizations and Yichidim by going the extra mile while coping with a range of issues and challenges.
This year’s recommended candidates deserve our staunch support as well as a strong Hakoras Hatov!
Congressman Chris Smith, our long-time Congressman, is a blessing to our Kehilla. His principled and moral stand on family values, in championing – often single-handedly – the freedom for our Jewish brothers and sisters in hostile countries, and his office’s assistance in navigating governmental bureaucracy in a myriad of individual situations clearly sets him apart for our enthusiastic support.
Sheriff Mike Mastronardy, the Ocean County Sheriff, has proven to be an outstanding friend to the Kehilla. He has been there – time and time again – in happy times and sad, to ensure that our community is safe and that our values are respected. Whether it’s Kedushas Mameis, additional patrols for special occasions and Yom Tovim, sensitivity during tragedies r”l, (and a host of other accommodations) he has always been there and he deserves a strong Yasher Koach at the polls.
Commissioners “Ginny” Haines and “Jack” Kelly, (previously known as Freeholders) have been strong supporters of County-administered Social Services, including mental health, Kosher-Meals-on-Wheels and other Senior Services. They have earned and deserve our support.
Lakewood Committeeman Albert Akerman, a Kehilla member who has been helpful over many years, deserves our continued support
After a discussion with the Igud Hamosdos, it is very clear that Schools Board Members Meir Grunhut, Issac Zlatkin, Shloime Stern (3 Year Term) and Eliyahu Greenwald (1 Year Term) are all strong supporters of our Mosdos, are there for all of Lakewood’s children, and have earned our endorsement and support.
Fire Commissioner Larry Loigman has served the community well and we recommend him for re-election.”
TRAFFIC! TRAFFIC! TRAFFIC!
Does the “Achdus” mean in traffic? Can’t keep voting in the same people and then complaining about the traffic!
VOTE THEM OUT!!
What did the VAAD do for you??
What about Jackson?
Hakaras Hatov, Achdus….. what about the REAL issues like traffic overbuilding?
Is there a way to vote the VAAD out of Lakewood?
When it came to last year’s election, they convinced the whole Lakewood to vote for Murphy, and look where we are today… And the same VAAD says to daven for R’ Osher Eisenman when Jack Citarelli (R) promised to pardon R’ Osher, plus more…
Oh, and what good has the VAAD done for this CITY? How about get rid of our crazy township board? That’d be a real start! All of this traffic is thanks to them, our fellow Jews….
To the Sheeple of Lakewood: Now is our chance to show that we want change. To show that we will not keep voting in people who have made bad decisions for the citizens of Lakewood. Throw them out!!
Its a selection not an election whatever you vote the machine will flip your vote to how ever they want the outcome to be dont be silly and waste your time in a rigged phony selection
Who do we vote for to insure the tuition vouchers that the schools keep reminding us about?
