DWI

Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 1am, Ptl. C. Kicki in the area of Clover St., observed Luis F Melendez-Vilchis, 26 years old, from Lakewood NJ driving and not able to keep his lane of travel, by drifting in and out of the roadway. Melendez-Vilchis was arrested and charged with the following:

DWI – 39:4-5; Refusal 39:-4-50.2; Reckless 39:4-96; Unlicensed 39:3-10; Open Container of Alcohol in Motor Vehicle 39:4-51b; Failure to Maintain Lane 39:4-88A.

Officers M. Banuelos, D. Desangles assisted in the investigation.

DWI

Monday, September 5, 2022 at 1am, Ptl. C. Kicki in the area of Ocean Avenue, observed Alejandro Morales-Nonoal, 24 years old, from Lakewood NJ driving erratic. Morales-Nonoal was arrested and charged with the following:

DWI 39:4-50; Failure to Maintain Lane 39:4-88A; Reckless 39:4-96; Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle 39:4-51b; Unlicensed 39:3-10

Officers B. Rodriguez, N. Romeo, W. Hunter assisted in the investigation.

RESISTING

Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 5pm, Officers C. Woods, and M. Grant were in the area of Cedar Bridge Avenue, and recognized Anthony Hodges, 26 years old, from Lakewood NJ from prior police contact. Officers requested dispatch to check for active warrant/s, and dispatch confirmed multiple warrants. The officers approached Hodges and advised him of his active warrant status, he took off running into the woods. The officers on scene were able to locate Hodges, and he was apprehended. Hodges was transported to headquarters for the active warrants, and charged with the following:

Obstruction 2c:29-1a; Resisting by flight 2c:29-2a; Possession of drug paraphernalia 2C:26-2

Officers A, Rihacek, R. Meyer Jr, C. Rose assisted in the investigation.

 
STREET CRIMES UNIT
 

Wednesday, August 24, 2022, two search warrants were executed at 780 River Avenue by the Street Crimes Unit / SRT as a result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of narcotics.  Subsequently, Jazmon Streeter was arrested and charged with Weapons/ CDS offenses.  Leslie Richardson, Ildiko Mocsany, Yalanda Crawford, and Antonio Randolph were arrest and charged with various CDS related offenses. Three of the four offenders were transported to the Ocean County Jail.

Wednesday August 31st, 2022, a motor vehicle stop was conducted by the Street Crimes Unit at 300 Hurley Avenue.  After a brief investigation Thomas J. Eismann, Brandon P. Myles, and Amber Garcia were arrested for various warrant and CDS related offenses.  All three offenders were transported to the Ocean County Jail.

  1. We should have a local street sign campaign on driving safe we understand the frustration on not being able to get around but let’s make awareness not through tickets but through street campaigns
