Onlookers are welcome along the route to wave the runners on but not on bikes.
BIKES are NOT allowed along the route.
Bikers are extremely distracting and cause a serious safety concern to the runners.
All bystanders must stay off the road.
We’d like to express our feeling of gratitude to The Lakewood Township Committee, The Lakewood Police Department and Lakewood Chaveirim for orchestrating the logistics with the safety of the runners and all the residents of Lakewood in mind!

The Center Run 5k route:
The following roads will be closed for brief periods while the runners pass through.
Clifton Ave / 3rd St
2nd St
Rt 9
James St
Williams St
Prospect St
Access to Prospect Street will be open at Massachusetts Ave intermittently.
Access to Prospect Street from Cross Street will be closed during the Run (approximately 6:30-7:30pm)
In the event that Prospect street residents need to leave their homes during the Run, they should drive with caution westbound on Prospect street (not eastbound) and follow the direction of Lakewood police and Lakewood Chaveirim.
The areas along the running route will be congested, please plan your travels accordingly, please be patient and follow directions from the crossing guards, Lakewood Police and Lakewood Chaverim.
The Center run finish line music and dinner event is exclusively for runners and their families via ticket entry only.

Why was the street closed to residents?? I went out to do some errands and when I tried going home I was not allowed onto prospect.
