Everyone has felt the feeling of racing the clock, racing through traffic, racing to catch our breath, racing to finish yet another task on our long to-do list at some point in the year, especially now during the pre Yom Tov rush. It’s just days before Pesach; a myriad of errands to run, meals to cook, babies to care for, a house to clean and lots of children home from school. Where to start???
Imagine, even for just one moment, adding a special child into this busy, bustling scene. A child who cannot join you on errands nor be your little helper in the kitchen. A child unable to play outside nor keep safe without your constant supervision.
Accomplishing any or all of this proves impossible.
But…. that stress and exhaustion melts away with the knowledge that The Special Children Center is OPEN takes over.
OPEN for 3 days before Yom Tov with thrilling and structured activities.
OPEN Erev Yom Tov giving the kids a feel for the upcoming Yom Tov.
OPEN Chol Hamoed to allow families to breathe and spend much needed time together.
OPEN Isru Chag while mothers scramble to get the house back in order.
But, it’s not just this time of year that The Center heeds the call of so many. All throughout the year a host of dedicated, caring and compassionate volunteers lovingly entertain, feed and bathe the children so their parents can maintain a happy, functioning home. Their professionalism, respect and expertise keep families afloat every single day.
Any of us in this situation would do whatever we can to say thank you and show our appreciation to such a needed cause. Be part of it and say your thank you by clicking on the link below to donate or register for the Center Run 2018!
