Thank You

Dear R’ Aaron Kotler, the entire BMG staff, and Lakewood Chaveirim,

As I write this letter, I can say confidently that I speak for many of Lakewood’s residents. Like many others, I am newly married and did not envision myself staying home for Yom Tov for a couple of years. And like many others, I am now stuck at home this year.

When the realization dawned on me that I would probably be making Pesach, my first thought was, what do I need to buy to make Pesach. One thing was for certain, I would be buying the bare minimum in order to avoid infection while shopping, not to mention the forever long lines.

All of a sudden, I got an email that I can buy a box with everything necessary for Yom Tov. I must admit, that I was a bit skeptical at first how much would actually be included. I then looked a bit further and was pleasantly surprised that the “Pesach Box” seemed to have covered everything as promised, and at below cost to boot.

In the days following, they also made a food box, and a wine box, all to relieve the stresses of making Pesach with everyone at home, and for many of us, for the first time as well. It also serves to minimize the spread of infection, so we should not need to go to many stores to get what we need.

I picked up the box yesterday, and I am blown away. Yeshiva and Chaveirim did a magnificent job! They literally covered everything one might need to make Pesach this year, and for many years to come. From Hagaddas, to cookbooks, and everything in between, they gave us everything at top quality.

Hashem should bentch these special people with much bracha in their personal lives. You really made Yom Tov doable for so many people.

Hearts full of gratitude,

A Lakewood resident.

  1. dear r ahron and chaveirim we could not believe how much was included, this absolutely lightened our burden and our expenses. I just can begin to imagine how much work it what to prepare thousands (i imagine) of boxes with top notch utensils. Thank you from all of us. All those who helped should be zoche to VCHOL MEE SHEOISKIM BTZARCHEI TZIBBUR VEMMUNAH… VYOSIR MEIHEM KOL MACHLA VYIRPAH LCHOL GUFAM, and to the rest of our klal yisroel

  2. To R’ Aharon Kotler: I am sick already over two weeks with a serious case of Corona pneumonia…I really did not know how Pesach was gonna happen in my house. Then I saw the ads about the Pesach Meals in a box from BMG. I ordered it & it’s such a relief knowing that at least I’ll have all the basics. Thank you R’ Aharon from the bottom of my heart. It’s such a tremendous chesed you have no idea. The RBS”O should bentch you & yours with gezunt and a chag kasher v’sameach.

  3. I found out I’m making pesach this Monday, we completely freaked out, but when we heard about the pesach food box, we calmed down. I can turn over late and be calm! Thanks for giving us the gift of a happy home!!!!!

  4. Thank you all for your kind words- permit to use this opportunity to reiterate that we saving lives by staying homes. This week I personally lost 4 dear and most special friends. Our Mechutanim the Betrams lost our beloved R’ Betzalel Bertram. And we lost R’ Yossel Czapnik. And R’ Aaron Walkin. And our dear R’ Zeev Rothschild. Andy many others who I personally know.

The tragedy is beyond words. One is too many.

If we don’t stay home we will lose many more by Pesach gathering.

We ask that you stay home over Pesach don’t travel even to family.
Don’t make backyard Minyanim. Even if you have 10 sons in your own family, don’t make a Minyan in your home. The risk is too high and the Police will arrest you. Don’t go to a park or public place on Chol Hamoed. Don’t hold even minor celebrations in your home, even of immediate family, too many Lakewood families were charged with crimes this week for doing exactly that.

This is a world crisis and let’s make sure to act accordingly – it cannot business as usual in any way. Remember also the world is watching us – let us not allow the world to typecast us violators.

    May we see rapid Yeshuos,

    A.
