SUBJECT: Officer Lenny Nieves Sr., Badge # 246, DATE: 1/20/10, To: The Lakewood Scoop: As a resident of the Lakewood community, we would like to commend an outstanding public servant, Officer Lenny Nieves. He makes every effort to perform his duties in a competent, courteous, and professional manner. Officer Nieves exceeds the expectations of the public by providing exceptional service that surpasses above and beyond his call of duty.
He personifies the attributes of compassion, courage and commitment, and we, the Lakewood community, are privileged to have him on our force.
His dedication to our community knows no bounds. This past Friday night, our family experienced a medical emergency and Officer Nieves selflessly dedicated many hours of his personal time. His efficiency and kind demeanor made all the difference. It is no wonder that many in our community respect Officer Nieves for his sensitive and generous nature!
We wish to publicly acknowledge our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Officer Lenny Nieves. We are an extremely fortunate community to be protected by officers as fine as him.

Good Morning Lakewood, this is old news, anyone that ever met officer Nieves knows that he is a true class act. stories like this do not surprise anyone that knows him. we are truly lucky to have him on our Police force, and we thank G-d he was able to return to the great work he does after the shooting incident.

what a coincidence that lenny and moe are working together . I had two incidents one time moe heineman was the life saver and in the other incident it was lenny who saved the day . if both of them work together it will make lakewood a better place
