Remember we are volunteers that come out at all hours of the night. Thanks for approving our budget. lol
# 1 just because your rabbis won’t let you go to the stadium don;t think we are going to turn our gem into a homeless theme park. The county should address the homeless problem, as it affects Lakewood and Ocean County residents. I bet you didn’t know that the “camp” attracts people from even as far as Monmouth County, who heard Lakewood has this place for homeless people. Pretty sad, wouldn’t you think. So stop with the Blue Claws jabs and ask HH to work on the homeless issues.
Hey crabber I love the claws as much as the next guy. But what do you think this hershel guy can do for the homeless. He isn’t an elected official yet. Did any of your other committemen do a thing for the homeless? They need to get together with the county officials, and work something out. Ignoring the issue is not going to help. I have been following the blue claws issue and what hershel has been saying. I don’t get the feeling he wants to close down the stadium and give it to the homeless. I think he just smells a rat as far as money for lakewood is concerned and wants something done. What has the homeless to do with it? If jackson made a deal like that with the claws we would have a revolt over here, and we love the claws.
Looking forward to this season. Hope the homeless won’t be sleeping in the skyboxes.
While we are off the subject why dont some of these halls you have here in lakewood open the space for those 70 girls to have a place to be schooled. They are not used during the day, why not take care of these girls. Hard times are coming and people need to reach out to those that need help when they can.
To the editor of this site: Where do you get your info from? The photo yo have shown was not a truck that responded to the fire last night. There was not a large turn out of ems or fire fighters at the fire. There was the Chief with his comand vehicle the paid fire fighter with 7401 and 3 members of satation 64 along with the brush truck. The ems had only 1 ambulance that was at the fire for under 5min befor transporting the injured person to the hospital.
Hey#6 That sounds like a large turn out to me. You forgot all the police and everyone else that was there to help.
WHY IS THERE A TENT CITY AT ALL?!
Where is tent city?
it’s southeast of downtown
