I don’t want to be a bad guy here but if you want ppl to daven and invest their emotions in someone you gotta give more information and stop being so private. Who is it? What happened? How’s he doing? It’s only fair.
He’s not just a Yungerman, he’s a Rosh Yeshiva. I have Shaichis to his Yeshiva and it’s destined to be one of Klal Yisroel’s greatest yeshivos. He is such a loving Rosh yeshiva and overall amazing person. We hope he has a real speedy complete recovery so that he can continued to do the great work he does.
@anon.. Why should it matter who he is, what happened other how he’s doing? Hes a fellow Jew and in need of prayers obviously. Otherwise it wouldn’the be posted here. Just daven.
att ANON A YID IS HURT. DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE? ITS SAYS HE GOT INURED WITH A GOLF CARD AND NEEDED SURGERY ON SHABBOS. THAT IS NOT SERIOUS ENOUGH????
PEOPLE ARE ENTITLED TO THEIR PRIVACY. NEVER SHOULD ANYONE KNOW OF ANY TZAR, INJURY OR CHOLEH. PLEASE BE SENSITIVE TO OTHERS.
THE FAMILY REVIEWED THE POST BEFORE IT WAS POSTED. AND IT WAS THEN FORWARDED TO TLS.
TLS WOULD NOT POST ANY INFORMATION UNTIL THE FAMILY APPROVED THE POST WORD FOR WORD.
I KNOW AS I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS THE GO BETWEEN TLS AND THE FAMILY MEMBER.
Anon- you don’t think that perhaps the family may just want their privacy protected, and don’t want personal details to be divulged? Knowing the name and trivial details shouldn’t make you more likely to care enough to Daven. Anyways, I happen to know him and can vouch that he is a amazing person. He works with Bochrim and I think it can be said about him that there are people who would be off the Derech if not for him. It definatly would do good for the whole Klal yisroel if you would Daven for him.
( Anon)
Who care who? When ? Why ? How ?
Just daven !!!!!
TLS is a very trust worthy reliable source of news so if he reports it u can believe it.
Also TLS respects the privacy of people to the utmost so if he doesn’t write certain details there must be a reason
To #1 there’s not much more to the story he’s definaley not critical but has a long recovery
Don’t wait for details – just daven and daven as hard as you can – what you give to others is what protects you.
I do understand #1 and until 8 yrs ago when my son was deathly ill and on life support (bh doing great today halevai vaiter) and i asked an adam gadol what to do because ppl are davening and they all want to know what the story is but I do not feel like disclosing the terrible details of the prognosis..and i will never forget his response, and i quote, “and its none of their business!”. So, i used to feel like you until i was in their position, you should never be in it! I dont think so many ppl have to attack though…lets bring moshiach by speaking to one another bnachas. Bsuros tovos!
Wow! Thanks for your post!
May you only see nachas from your entire family!

To Anon – It’s only fair??

Please pass on this link for tehillim
# one is not totally off-base. The Gemara in shabbos 67 says that a metzorah calls out “tameh tameh” to let the rabbim know of his plight so they can daven for him. The Gemara says that similarly when one had a tree who is fruit for falling off prematurely, he would tie a red string around it as a siman that The fruits fall off prematurely and to let his plight be known to the rabbim.
Imagine if our gedolim issued a kol koreh for a yom tefilla without soecifying what the Tzara was. It would certainly have less of an impact. How many times have we had the experience of seeing a name for tehillim and saying a kapitel and then finding out posthumously who it was and saying Oy vey if only I had know I would have said more tehillim or taken kaballos on for the cholleh… That being said, the familys right to privacy should always be absolutely respected. and regardless, there is certainly no reason to publish the details of an incident only of the details of the condition of the cholleh/ name etc. should the family request it…..
Note that the gemorah says the tamei should call it out, NOT anybody else.
