Submitted: This is the original Bakashas HaGeulah which is brought in the Ma’avar Ya’abok by Rav Aharon Berachya of Modena, Italy in 1639.
He calls this a Tikkun Kadmonim which was sent to him from Yerushalayim for him to publicize it.
Rav Aharon Berachya was a talmid of Rav Menachem Azaryah of Pano who learned Kabbalah under Rav Yisroel Saruk. Rav Yisrael Saruk learned Kabbalah from the Arizal before Rav Chayim Vital came to the Arizal and then Rav Yisroel Saruk left Tzefas and traveled to Europe and taught Kabbalah to Rav Shamshon Ostropolier in Ukraine, the Megaleh Amukos in Krakow, and the Rav Menachem Azaryah in Pano among others.
Recently this tefillah was shortened down to one page and is said at least once a month in chaburos in Yerushalayim, Bnei Brak and Lakewood.
It has the haskamah of Rav Moshe Sternbuch shlit”a, Rav Don Segal shlit”a and the Toldos Aharon Rebbe shlit”a, among other tzaddikim.
The Yerushalayim chaburah, which sometimes davens by Kever Rachel, or at the Kever Dovid Hamelech compound in order to daven by the kever of King Yotam ben Uziyahu, who was said to be able to save the entire world together with Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, and is buried in Kever David. This is the tefillah that Rav Moshe Sorotzkin shlit”a discusses in his seforim and in his schmuessen, and on his hotline at 848-777-4769.
Tonight, the renowned mekubal Rav Yitzchok Meir Morgenstern shlit”a of Yerushalayim asked that this original longer version be recited with a minyan or privately so that Hashem should save Israel from the Iran missile attack that is imminently threatening the lives of our Jewish brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel, and bring us Moshiach, Now!
