PHOTO: Looking for flashlights, lanterns and emergency lights? You may have a hard time finding them before Hurricane Irene hits. As of about 3:00 PM this afternoon, Target, Lowe’s and Walmart were out of most of their supply of emergency lights and D batteries. Other local stores say they were out of supply by this morning.
As earlier mentioned by Police Cheif Rob Lawson, residents are advised to stock up on basic necessities, including food and drinks ahead of time, as stores may be forced to shut once the storm hits.
