A new chapter has been opened in the unfolding history of the thriving Cheder Ahavas HaTorah, the premier chassidishe yeshiva in Lakewood which follows the Zichru method, with the appointment of Rav Yoel Heilbrun, shlit”a, as the menahel of the yeshiva beginning this upcoming academic year.

Rav Heilbrun has more than two decades of chinuch experience in Lakewood’s chassidishe mosdos, in which time he has gained a reputation as a unique mechanech with a deep understanding to children and their cognitive and emotional development. Rav Heilbrun is known for his exceptional warmth and outgoing nature, and an extraordinary ability to relate to the children under his care.

At the same time, Rav Eliezer Lerner, Shlita, the current menahel of the cheder, will continue to serve the mossad as a devoted mashgiach ruchani, working individually with the talmidim and guiding them on their path of growth.

The administration at Ahavas HaTorah was overjoyed to share this news with their parent body, and a number of parents have already met with the new menahel, coming away deeply impressed, and with great optimism and confidence for their children’s future in Cheder Ahavas HaTorah.
