Take Note Of New Stop Signs In Ridge Area

PHOTOS: Motorists are asked to take notice of new stop signs in the Ridge Avenue area. The Township this morning added stop signs at the intersections of Ridge Avenue and Nolan Avenue, as well as at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Shoshana Drive.

All three roads now have stop signs leading to both intersections. TLS.

Build more roads. Lakewood needs more roads. With every development another 4 lane avenue should be built. With each stop sign lakewood, reflecting the development, becomes more congested. Build more roads!

How about stopping building so many developements and then there wouldn’t be a need for more roads. Where would you suggest more roads be built, and addding more lanes to already crowed roads is foolish.

#2 is just being realistic. The building is not going to stop..the least we can do is have adequate roads to alleviate the congestion.

the stop sogns were placed after several meeting with local residents whos see near misses, crashes and many carsand buses flying through the area.

they are planning on painting the curbs. Signs are being posted in shuld that there will be inforcment of parking laws which include not parking in intersections.

I approached Ridge @ Nolan around 2PM, well there were 2 cars parked on the corners opposite each other on Nolan coming off Ridge. Want to see a nice traffic jam? I sat and watched as idiots tried to squeeze between those two parked cars. I even noticed a car driver speed up to try and beat the other guy from getting in. Now what would it be if a school bus or large truck tried it? Would they fit? Amazing

Now a good idea is to paint the corners yellow, place up “NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER” signs. If people want to park there then they get ticketed and towed or their vehicle tire booted which is better. They won’t leave their car behind and it’s a guarentee way of collecting the ticket money for Lakewood. You can’t get the car until paid and the boot removed. After a few $50.00 tickets they’ll learn.

Build what roads? People don’t live on roads they live in houses. Developers don’t make money building roads, they make money on houses. BUILD, BUILD, BUILD, I see another square foot with a tree on it cut down the tree put up a house!!
