PHOTO: Police on Tuesday evening arrested three people in connection with an armed home invasion in Lakewood moments earlier, sources tell TLS.
The home invasion occurred on Eisenhauer Street shortly after 8 p.m. when the suspects allegedly robbed the homeowners at gunpoint, and then fled the area.
“The caller advised that a black male, armed with a gun, ran inside their home demanding money,” Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says. “After taking approximately $300 from the victim, they fled the home and left the area in a gold colored Nissan Maxima.”
While responding to the call, Officers John Macerino and Daniel Brooks observed a gold Nissan Maxima traveling north on New Hampshire Avenue.
As they approached the intersection of New Hampshire and Cedarbridge Avenues, they conducted a motor vehicle stop with the assistance of several additional officers.
As a result, several people were taken into custody. Further investigation by Detectives Oscar Valmon, Michael Cavallo and Officer Steve Kelusak resulted in the arrest of 20 year-old Quamere Jackson of Lakewood, 19 year-old Laponce Bryant of Lakewood, and 20 year-old Idequan Allen of Lakewood.
Quamere Jackson was charged with Armed Robbery as well as Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Laponce Bryant and Idequan Allen were both charged with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
Bail was set by the Honorable Superior Court Judge Fran Hodgson in the amount of $200,000 without a 10% option

It’s Eisenhower Street like the 34th president of the United States, not Eisenhauer. In any event, good job LPD!
Heroic.
LPD continues to shine. Thank you for all you do.
Great job LPD! Good thing they weren’t driving a black 2014 Camry. Not many old model gold Maxima’s on the road but Camry’s are a whole different story!
