Suspect Who Fled Stafford Twp Police Following Attempted Armed Robbery, Arrested by LPD

A man suspected of an attempted armed robbery in Stafford Township, and then fled from a traffic stop in Stafford Township, was arrested Tuesday evening in Lakewood, police say.

The suspect was reportedly stopped by Stafford Police following an attempted armed robbery in the Township, but fled from police during the stop.

Stafford Police notifed Lakewood Police that the suspect – who they spotted with a revolver in his vehicle – had his vehicle registered to a Lakewood address.

Lakewood Police immediately responded to that address, where the suspect arrived a short time later, and was arrested.

Police tell TLS the vehicle was impounded, and the weapon was located inside the vehicle.
