A suspect speeding in a stolen vehicle down 9th Street in Lakewood struck a parked car this afternoon, causing his vehicle to overturn.
The driver then fled the scene on foot, but thanks to a witness who followed him, police were able to apprehend him just a couple of blocks away.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment.
