Fewer New Jersey teenagers smoke, drink and do drugs, according to a survey released by the state Department of Education and reported by the Press of Atlantic City. In a 2009 survey of more than 1,700 students from 34 public high schools, only 43 percent said they smoked at some point, compared to 70 percent in 1995, according to the report. Alcohol and drug use has also declined since 2001, and the survey suggests teens are exercising more, the report said. Star Ledger
