6. Just last week a rebe from monsey complained about all these scooter accidents and how they don’t think traffic safety. I can’t walk on the sidewalk in my neighborhood without a scooter trying to run me down. Yes, sidewalk at 25 mph.

Although the driver should look very carefully for pedestrians and bikes, scooters etc. before turning, however, the scooter boy is clearly riding in an illegal manner as I see constntly here in town. By law anyone on the road in whatever manner has to obey all laws including the requirement to go in the direction of the traffic rather than aginst it. Parents should not only intsruct their children about the rules of the road but should also be living examples of driving with a kiddush Hashem.
