It appears that the cyclist was riding on the sidewalk.
Terrible. ( The same spot as the pick up truck incident yesterday) at least the driver stopped and got out to check on him .
The bicyclist was in the crosswalk, and wearing a bright red or pinkish jacket. The driver obviously wasn’t paying attention while making the left turn.
The driver was also driving while it was raining, with the windshield wipers on and did NOT have the vehicle’s headlights on as required by NJ state law.
Driving during the day with your headlights on makes it easier for everyone to see you and can avoid an accident/crash. Regardless of rain.
The cyclist isn’t a pedestrian and shouldn’t be riding in the sidewalk and doesn’t have right of way.
wrong
Wrong. Anyone in the walkway has right of way.
The car was already turning before the cyclist even appeared. The cyclist should have stopped. They’re 100% at fault.
