  1. The real and true problem that Lakewood is experiencing is due to the fact that on any given day there are 25000 cars on the roads in Lakewood. Where is everyone going? Are they giving out free money somewhere?
A lot of people simply go to the store just to buy 3 items. We need to get organized and make a list in your home what items do you need.

  2. Every day I am attempting to understand what in the world is wrong with people?
Are some folks too dumb to follow basic driving rules, which a 15 years old is expected to easily comprehend? Are some drivers too self absorbed, or self-righteous, and feel that common decency, courtesy, and responsibility for others’ lives do not apply to them? Perhaps some people are incapable of seeing, in which case they should not be behind the wheel, altogether?
After contemplation, I realized that if the traffic police were giving tickets heavy-handedly, then, suddenly, the blind would start seeing, the fools would gain wisdom, and the bishvili nivra haolam crowd would instantly develop basic humility, at least on the roads. The cops could become baalei mofes, overnight, and the township would be collecting due pidyonos, and they should!

  3. @avraham We can start with you, you can only drive your car on the road to and from work and davening and twice a week for errands, not during peak hours, and one pleasure drive after 9pm.

  4. That white car had enough warning and space to avoid the bus and make a quick right turn onto the vacant street. Perhaps he was driving too fast to make a quick and safe decision. He beeped his horn way in advance of the collision showing that he was aware of the bus ahead of him. He just thought he could still make it and catch his coffee at the shop. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

  5. Hello The bus is completely at fault. You see he almost drove into someone the first time. People can’t just start making left turns when someone else has the right of way.

  6. Bus drivers are very pushy. That being said, I usually yield to bus drivers making left turns, because I know how stressful it is to drive in Lakewood and they have a schedule to keep. Still, the bus drivers have to be more careful and other drivers too.

  7. #1 your absolutely correct too many cars on the road. Traffic backed up everywhere.Roads are not built to handle this amount of cars. I feel sorry for bus drivers. You could not pay enough…Maybe all schools should change their hours. Public goes early enough.

  8. In this accident, only one driver can be correct and the other driver, incorrect. The bus driver is 100% at fault for failing to yield the right of way. Period. No doubt about that. The crossing 2 way traffic should not have to slam on the brakes because the bus driver is impatient.

    • correct but what happened? who hits another car because they have the right of way?? from the horn to the impact is plenty of time to stop. yes you should slam on your brakes to avoid a collision!!
      (in non icy conditions)

  9. Patently false, Mayo. No slamming of brakes. Just firing of incompetent and dangerous bus drivers. Testing and more retesting is also necessary. More than half of Lakewood drivers will fail abysmally. To be sure
