Its weird, cuz, really, the black car couldn’t see the white SUV approaching due to the turning van. But, Still, the black car didn’t come to a complete stop.
I was born and raised in Bklyn and we are seeing the same habits here in Lakewood as in BK. Once the driver gets behind the wheel we tend to loose patience. The driver in the black sedan did the same as well, by not coming to a complete stop and pausing a moment to be certain it was safe to go.
How is the street sign on the corner still standing after all those accidents?
Imagine if people were at the corner??
I stopped driving by that intersection.Too dangerous.
guy didn’t come to a complete stop and didn’t look at all
Nothing wrong with the intersection, the black sedan did not come to a complete stop. He should have his license taken away for a year.
its a two way stop, u need to inch out a drop and look if cars are coming.not just speed and hope for the best, which is what the black car did. i often drive the way the SUV was, i slow down a LOT and look to see if the cars by the stop signs are actually stopped…something def needs to be done tho
The black cadillac erred by not coming to a full stop when he was required to. He also made the situation worse by wrongly entering an intersection while there was another vehicle who had the right-of-way.
Notwithstanding the above, I would strongly recommend that the public works department should remove the trees on the southeastern corner of that intersection. In fact, our Twp ordinance forbids their existence inside the “sight triangle easement”, because they obstruct the view for many drivers who travel in that area.
Drive safely.
The black is at fault ! The black car never stopped or slowed down !
