We regret to inform you of the sudden Petirah of Chatzi Katz Z”L.
Chatzi, a young rising star in the music industry, was a beloved friend to all who knew him, always greeting everyone with a smile and a good cheerful word.
Chatzi suddenly collapsed on Yom Tov. He was 28.

UPDATE: The Levaya is scheduled to take place at 1:15 PM Sunday, Tzom Gedaliah, at Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel, 157 Spruce Street, Lakewood, with Kevura in Lakewood.
Parking will be at the Spruce Street Public School.

Oish! Baruch Dayan HaEmes! He was such a mensch! I was in a store 2 weeks ago and a dollar short. He gave me, without a second thought.
Baruch Dayin Ha’emes. A truly special performer but an even more special person once you got to know him. I had the zechus of playing with him many times & each time was an experience. You were able to tell that he had a heart of gold. His talent of inspiring a crowd & building up the kumzitz from start to finish was truly incredible. I met him at many a Maariv at Kluesenburg & next thing we knew, it was 3 in the morning. He was always thinking about his ruchniyus & how to grow. We discussed music, life & shteiging but he was always an amazing person.
May his special neshama have an Aliyah.

He sang at a huge yeshiva siyum I attended, he was able to inspire the entire room with beautiful, derhoibener singing/kumzitzing all within the spirit of kavod haTorah. His family should have nechama.
