Beautiful
Upon reading the heartfelt letter sent by two greatly appreciative grandparents to a selfless and devoted teacher who has sacrificed hours upon hours of time to be mechanech their grandchild in the correct path, a TLS commenter, who spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity on Sunday, commented:
“Both the aforementioned letter and the check are lessons to all of us on the inyan of midos tovos, specifically the midah of hakaros Hatov.
Kol Hakavod to the grandparents and to the teacher!
However, while I certainly understand TLS’s decision – or whoever made the decision – to publish the letter anonymously, nevertheless, I wish that the letter would have been published with the names of the inspiring grandparents and dedicated teacher, and without anonymity. However, all anonymity aside, I’d like to thank TLS publicly for publishing this beautiful and inspiring letter.
Sincerely yours,
An anonymous commenter, who wishes to remain anonymous.
Wow. This is so nice. I’ve spoken to many Rabbeim and Morahs over the years. Some of them keep these notes for years and years.
I will say, however, a handwritten note is MUCH more meaningful.
To all who did not yet send their kids’ Rabbeim or Morahs chekcs &/or notes yet, you can still do it now !! They need lines for 2nd days as well.
Hatzlocha Rabbah
Chag Sameach !!

With all The hock recently on TLS about tipping teachers bc of low salaries, maybe they just started a new trend. Maybe grandparents should be the ones tipping the teachers to leave the financial burden off The parents whom have higher day to say living expenses.
