Mental health and substance use disorders, do not discriminate. They affect all of us in one way or another. Maybe you suffer, or a family member or friend. Or maybe it is someone that is dear to someone you know.
It touches everyone’s life.
Mental health and substance use services in New Jersey are on the brink of collapse, putting the well-being of our entire community at risk.
Providers are struggling to stay afloat due to insufficient New Jersey Medicaid reimbursement rates, leaving the most vulnerable individuals without access to essential support. These facilities are a lifeline for teenagers, adults, and families affected by mental health and addiction issues.
Every family is touched by these issues, either directly or indirectly, through a loved one or close relative.
Two crucial bills need your support to secure funding and ensure continued access to these vital services.
Sign the petition to urge legislators to take action and protect mental health and addiction support for those who need it most. Together, let’s make a difference in the lives of our loved ones, neighbors, and community members.

It is unbelievable! We need to fund these type of programs and stop spending our money on chasing tzadiking like Rabbo Eiseman, I am signing!
Do you know how gvmt funding works??
You sound very unintelligent.
Help spread the awareness of the existance of recovery in our jewsih community, yes there is recoveyr and fellowship for thos suffering from Substance abuse addiction right here in our community, help us publicize this so more people can access this information.
jewsinrecovery.org is a website aimed simply at publicizing the resources that are already available to people seeking recovery. Help spread the word, help is out there
Maybe if we stop drugging like 40% of our kids just to let them stay in schools, we can avoid most of the mental health “crisis” of our own making.
please keep that comment to yourserlf
lakewood scoop shud have censored
Why is censorship the answer?
Why not address why so many need the mental health help in the first place instead of just signing something to increase funding? Why not discuss the cause of the issue instead of promoting bandaid solutions?
We know that there is a drasha in the תורה הקדושה which gives permission for a doctor to practice. Can someone share sources that discuss what qualifies someone as a doctor? Is a psychiatrist also halacahiclly qualified?
Much appreciated!
Why not?!!
Why not is not a source. Thanks anyhow!
@Interesting Question
Maybe oncologists also not…? They didn’t have them either in the time of chazal.
What a thing to say, as though you think psychiatric stuff is not an illness with actual acute pain.
