New Jersey manufacturer/njm is a good company. If you haven’t taken a defensive driving class in 2 years, take a NJ DMV approved class before changing your policy, to get a reduction. We each took the $5 online defensive driving class, and it was worthwhile for the refresher knowledge, as well as the rate reduction.
progressive.com was the cheapest for me. Around 700 cheaper than anybody else 4 drivers 3 cars 2800 for 6 months and 2 drivers were below 20. One violation. Allstate was 4200 Geico was 4500 etc…

25 years with Allstate. Past Nov. rate went up $3,000 for my house & vehicles. Went to AAA insurance thru Ideal Insurance in Lakewood for thousands less with higher coverage & more items covered!
Try 5MinuteInsure.com for an instant Auto quote comparison between multiple insurance companies and purchase it straight from them. Travelers and Progressive are very competitive and paying a lot for accident forgiveness doesn’t really make sense.
Try bundling with homeowners if you own a home, saved alot, we use Travelers, Geico and progressive were close to $300 a month for an Oddysey, call Prime insurance let them shop it for you, keep in mind, they cannot shop every carrier like Geico, Allstate
Just switched to progressive & saved a lot . Geico got a little out of control. Also, our new Mazda cx50 is around $150 less per month than our Elantra was because it has more safety features. That was a nice surprise bec we thought better more expensive car = more $$. Hope this was helpful. Hatzlocha
National General (got it thru Ideal) was amazingly priced even though I have a decent amount of “baggage” on my history.
Allstate always kept going up for no reason switched to progressive same coverage much cheaper, by over $100 per month
Swich from GEICO to AAA and I save lots of money!!!
Greatly appreciate the feedback and insight. I had been with Geico for 10 years but rates were climbing for no reason ( aside for what they claim “inflation and state coverage increase”).
At this point I had found Progressive to offer the best quote and much higher coverages than what I had until now. However as mentioned Allstate is $650-$700 more per 6 month so I’m curious if it really helps lowering rate or ensuring it remains stable. I see some posted about AAA I have heard people considering them but wondering if anyone actually had seen a payout (that’s when you can see a company shine).

Allstate Milewise has been the cheapest for me for the past few years, we pay ~800 for two vehicles for 6 months, including collision. It charges per mile, so it might not be worth it if you have a long commute.

Another vote for AAA. It’s hard to know what each company looks for or is spooked by, but I was quoted ridiculous prices by Geico $520 per month for 2 cars 2 drivers) and Progressive, but AAA came through with a very reasonable rate.
Check what they quote you with the big guys (Geico, Progressive, Allstate), and then check NJM and AAA.
Some profiles might trigger bigger premiums with some companies vs others, which is why it’s worth checking each one.
Also see how much it will cost to add Homeowner’s/Renter’s Insurance as a bundle. I added Renter’s Insurance for $120 for the year and got $160 off my auto premium for the year.

Just saved me almost two thousand a year with bundling. The prices are insane now and he really cares. Works with the community for many years.
I had geico, raised thru the roof. Progressive was half the price, but Plymouth Rock came in even lower. 4 drivers, 4 cars
we all know everytime theres an accident in lakewood some people are making alot of money directly on the backs of the lakewood community by causing the rates to go really high

I think sometimes having a track record of being with a carrier for a longer time can get you a better quote down the line (but not sure about that).
if you’re a rabbi or a teacher, try Plymouth rock teachers assurance. check for yourself don’t rely on me.
They keep going up i had them for 3 years not good even with out getting any accidents but obviously every case is different
