Hi,
I spoke today with a very helpful Ocean County engineer, Mark Jehnke, about the Cedarbridge issues that have been discussed recently.
He explained that the current striping is temporary, as they are building a pedestrian island in between the two lanes, and they need more room for the construction teams to get it done. When the island is done, they will redo the paint.
Mark also said that they are working on the planning for a left turning lane at Clover and Cedarbridge, which is probably going to be happening in a year or so
I asked about the lack of sidewalks between Clover and New Hampshire, and he said that the Lakewood Township is responsible for sidewalks, as its a municipality responsibility.
He was very kind and helpful, and was graciously answered my questions.

Hey can you ask him why the Vermont extension by Rt 70 Which broke ground in 2017 hasn’t opened yet
They are actually actively working. On the Vermont project right now during nights. Drive by the rt 70 end and take a look.
You can blame the township for building a road without first getting approval from the state to open a road onto a state highway, i.e. Rt 70.
Did you ask him about the insane amount of traffic?
Mlk is now horrible
Thanks for reaching out to him and getting this information
