Vote early, to avoid the lines. Or mail in your ballot…… no need to take off work for 2 hours on election day…..
They do have early voting, which is available during non-business hours and weekends so not being able to vote because you have to work is not really much of a valid excuse anymore.
Just curious if your suggestion includes a commitment to pay for the lost time? If not then please stop the talk and do the walk. Stop spending someone else’s money
And if there would be a organization that really cares they would have a system to approach every employer and ask that we’re looking out for his employees vote
Also, the 3 Lakewood Seminaries + all 12th grades should have a “trip” one day to the early voting site. (on the day of you need to vote in your district)
If politicians spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on Media advertising, why not have them sponsor Lunch/Supper for all people that go vote? Bring your family and get a free dessert! They could probably spend LESS money and believe me, the word would spread that if you go to vote, you get a free meal!
Probably more effective TBH. I recall durometer covid a way they got Israeli bochurim to get vaccinated, was by offering free cholent at the vaccine places…..
Yosef Biala is giving free cholent tonight in lipas munch to anyone 18 and older whos registered to vote…
Hes trying to get write in votes for The Lakewood Board Of Education…
They can’t do that; I think it falls under bribery or something unless both candidates would do it jointly, which they can’t.
If everyone would have felt that voting would make a REAL and MEASURABLE difference in their lives theu would find a way to vote.
Yes, the best get out the vote strategy is to get our politicians to eefect REAL and MEASURABLE change in our quality of life, incl. traffic, healthcare, education, taxes and inflation
Btw, the bmg Rosh yeshivas shlita (I hope this comment will post after mentioning) last time allowed shmiras hasdarim to be included if later due to voting. Exactly this letter’s point.
There is an office in Lakewood that gave off time today to vote.
Why not just have everyone send in mail-in ballots?
Key now is getting the right person in the fire commissioner spot. We need to vote for someone who has the balance between fiscal responsibility and public safety down pat. That is why I’m voting for Moshe Raitzik in this race. He has the experience and temperament to get the job done right for the residents of Lakewood. Let’s do this.
