Submitted: This has been a problem that has not been solved. My 5th grade daughter wrote this without any help or coaching from any adults.

Such a sweet and sincere child! Lots of nachas, and hope everyone stays safe.
She’s a Moser
It’s not mesirah. Lives are at stake.
You’re a nut
If you can’t handle yeshiva neighborhood then MOVE,because you obviosly don’t understand the benefits.Thanks for your understanding.
@Adir
Please make better jokes next time.
Refuah She’leima!
Part of the benefits of living in the yeshiva neighborhood is that it’s very walk-able.
If people park in a way that makes it very dangerous to walk there what is the benefits?
Try walking on the sidewalk
There’s a sidewalk in middle of the street? I must have missed it. I’ll go back right now and look for it.
You are a twat
Wow. That’s twisted. Really, really twisted.
Lakewood got serious problem and I see it all the time. Take look on Forest st how many car park to close to corners and blocking crosswalk !!! Even people park on sidewalk or edge of Driveway blocking sidewalk and sometimes people park by fire hydrant. This is most terrible situation and Lakewood Mayor and Police must step up to end this dangerous situation in Town.
Your daughter wrote this herself? My advice, hire a tutor.
@Bee
Why? I think she did a good job for 5th grade.
You clearly don’t have any kids
Ur daughter is only in 5th grade and she’s already a Moser!!!
I am not Jewish. I had to look up definition of moser. This young girl is doing what all non Jewish people are supposed to do. You see something, say something. She should be applauded and the police should be ashamed that they allow this to happen. In any other town, this would be unacceptable. Yours is a walking community and everyone should feel safe when walking. More young people should get involved. They are our future.
I disagree with your statement that in any other town this would be unacceptable. This could happen, and DOES happen, in plenty of other cities as well.
Additionally, I’m not sure what you mean when you say this girl is doing what all non jewish people are supposed to do. I detect a certain disdain towards a certain people – albeit a cloaked disdain – in the comments you post. But as long as there are no pogroms here – although there have been a few violent incidents here aimed at a certain people, and there’ve been, over the last several years, plenty of violent assaults, in other parts of the country, aimed at a certain people – then, I suppose, these certain people, should be thankful that they’re still standing, and that they are still in one piece.
You took my comment totally wrong. I was applauding this young lady. Where I live tickets are given for parking in the wrong place. Yes, I live in Ocean County, born and raised. See something, say something refers to letting the proper authorities know if something doesn’t seem right. It is actually something that is known all across the country. It can save a life. I don’t care about religion, race, etc, I just care if a person is kind to others. I am going to stop once again giving any comments because they are being taken wrong.
Yankel the Yiddle,
When all else fails claim “Antisemitism” & even if it has nothing to do with “Antisemitism” pretend it does.
You’re an adult and a loser.
@Sam
You know, someone like you probably bullied everyone in your class and banked on the assumption that no one would speak up because of being a moser.
Maybe nowadays you’re even the type who would be an investment schemer that people have been writing about. You know you can get away with anything because no one wants to be plastered as a moser.
To call this child a moser is ridiculous. She is addressing a problem that can be fixed so no child is chas vashalom hurt. Will it take a major accident for people to take notice? Lakewood was built on Torah, which demands that all children, adults, and the elderly are protected.
Ditto!
The corner huggers are out of control! not to forget fire hydrants, crosswalk & sidewalk blockers. I manage a family property on 4th & Forest. Authorities are welcome to see 100s + of pics & videos of this unsafe situation that needs fixing.
Good and valid point….
What about many of the wheelchair spots here in town that are often taken by non-permit holders, to the point that in some instances those bearing those permits do not have where to park (I know 1st hand of a few of such instances)?
Everybody has loaded schedules but I don’t believe people would park in the center lane of route 9 in-order to hop into aisle9. Because when it comes to your own safety and your own car, common sense is in the drivers seat. Where’s that common sense when it comes to designated wheelchair spots for the handicapped individuals in our society? This is not a new phenomenon but it has gotten worse over time. Nobody means bad, just that this is absurd.
There is no other city/town in the world that such a phenomenon exists.
Go figure.
Spot on!
I’m failing to understand why the commentators here missed this person’s point. Are we all numb to the plight of an individual who neboch is not able to walk? It’s uncomfortable to hear, and it wasn’t comfortable for me either, especially that I’m Lakewood born. But what should I say, it happens to be true. I don’t know about other cities, but in Lakewood it unfortunately is true. We don’t need Rabbonim to teach us how to put on our socks in the morning, and those Rabbonim didn’t either need that. None of our grandparents did, nor do our Rebbeim and Roshei Yeshiva. You know why? Because it’s common sense! Not every last יעלה ויבוא shaylo mandates that we make a Rov crazy. And this is even less than that. Instead of making this as if we’re okay and let the Rov figure this out – take care of all our problems for us, rather let’s man up and be mature and stop making gehenim for wheelchair bound people. We don’t want to be a permit holder to realize this on our own skin. Isn’t this common sense?!
Enough said.
Wouldn’t it be easier to have our Rabbanim, Roshei Yeshiva, Gedolim & Daas Torah speak about this?
Every move we make & action we take is based on what our leaders tell us. So if our Rabbanim collectively & forcefully spoke about the danger, the lack of Menschlichkeit, & the issue of not following the govt law would it resolve 99% of this issue?
You missed the boat. No comment.
Because everyone listens to the Rabanim? Because in Lakewood, where Rav Matisyahu ZATZAL fought against the internet, you won’t find a single unfiltered device? Who are you kidding? Besides for yourself.
Only if they’re not guilty themselves of the infraction.
The Lakewood Scoop shall look in town at how bad parking is around Forest Ave and other areas to understand better.
If someone parks in a way that puts people’s lives in danger- that definitely deserves reprimanding
The people who park this way aren’t really very frum. They may sit and learn all day, daven long shemona esrei, eat only the most glatt kosher food, but they left out the main part of what it means to be a frum yid.
ואהבת לרעך כמוך. Blocking a crosswalk, fire hydrant, driveway, handicapped spot etc. is a total violation of that and if you don’t understand it, you do have a problem.
I have called the powers that be MANY times to try and get this problem fixed. Fifth and Monmouth in the morning is scary. Cars park so close to the corner that the two cars are touching!!! Impossible for drivers to see around the corner if a car is coming. The powers to be don’t care
