Over 1,600 voters cast a ballot in Lakewood during the first two days of early, in-person voting, election data shows.
There are a total of 63,617 eligible voters in Lakewood for the upcoming general election on November 5th. 1,628 of those have so far voted in person in Lakewood, with approximately 1,200 voting on Sunday.
With a presidential race on the ballot, Lakewood is expected to see record high voter
turnout for this election. The last presidential race in 2020 saw just under 70% voter turnout in Lakewood, roughly double the turnout seen in non-presidential election years.
In addition, voters will get to vote this year in races for U.S. Senate, House of
Representatives, Board of Commissioners, Township Committee, Fire Commissioners
and School Board.
Overall, across the state, just over 247,000 people cast a ballot in person at the 159 locations in New Jersey, or about 4% of the state’s 6 million registered voters.
New Jersey’s early voting period for the general election runs through Sunday, November 3. Eligible voters can cast early ballots at any early voting polling center in their county, including 10 in Ocean County.
Polling centers are open between 10am and 8pm from Monday through Saturday and until 6pm on Sunday.
Vote by mail applications can be downloaded from Ocean County Clerk’s website. The deadline to mail the ballot using the U.S Postal Service is Oct. 29. After that date, the voter must appear in person at the Clerk’s Office to apply and pick up a vote by mail ballot with 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 the cutoff for issuing vote by mail ballots.

Why such long lines? Because of too few booths, but more likely, also due to people wasting time once they are standing at the booth.
I can’t forget having enough money for groceries and no wars. I also can’t forget that abortion is murder, one of the three things we’re required to give up our own life rather than commit. I can’t forget that school choice and the freedom from ideological indoctrination was part of the 2016 platform, is it rather that you may have perhaps forgotten your faith?
