Lakewood Police said they received multiple reports of houses flooded and cars stranded on roadways across Lakewood. There have been multiple lightening strikes around town as well.

At least 10,945 customers were without power in Lakewood at the height of the storm, according to Jersey Central Power & Light, which estimates that power will be restored by 10:00pm.

In addition, nearly 2,000 customers in Toms River and 700 in Jackson are experiencing power outages as well.

As of 6:45pm, between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen in spots, with a rainfall rate of 1.5 inches an 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are still possible.
