Store Without A Name – Named!

As we posted here, the new grill opening at the former Getty station on Route 9, was looking for a name for the store and so together, we decided to make it into a contest. The owner of the new Getty grill would like to thank the many dozens of people who sent in their store name suggestions to The Lakewood Scoop. We have forwarded all the names to them and there were 6 Winners chosen, who will be receiving 2 free dips per week for a month. (Please note, The Lakewood Scoop did not choose the winners). The store will be called: Berish’s Grill & Takeout! The winners are, Dovid Freier, Dovid Mizrachi, Modchele Kornfeld, Zevi Stern, Shloime Spira and Anonymous (LD). Below are some of the names suggested: Get-Us-Burg, Burger Buster, Carnivgril, Lake Grill, Lakepoint Grill, The Little Red Caboose, Off-Shore-Grillin, Good-Grillin, The Steak On The Lake, Le Sizzle, Riverside grill, Backyard Grill, Makom-Bli-Shaim, The Dog House, Gone Grillin, Grillin Out, Dine-On-The 9, The River Grill, Mendys, Grillicious, Main Menu, Sub Hub, Dip-Pression, The Sandwich Club, Sub-Lime, Essen Express, Ein ‘Getty’, Noochtam, Meet The Meat, High Octane Shwarma…. and many other which are too many to name.     couldnt they be more creative?

    Hopefully Berish has some yummy receipes and doesnt need to run a contest how to cook ..

  4. I cant beleive it! that name is so not original. i was shocked. i loved the name ‘Ein Getty’ so much cuter.. or atleast some other name that would be appealing rather than same tipical… c’mon!
