Statement from Police Chief Greg Meyer on impending snow storm

chief greg meyerPolice Chief Greg Meyer issued the following statement this evening.

The National Weather Service predicting that snow will start after sunrise and continue at 1-2 inches per hour at the heaviest, with accumulations around 8 inches for most of New Jersey, including Lakewood.

Stay tuned for announcement at 5am reference to busses being cancelled and school closings.

Snow is expected to be heavy – blizzard-like event.

Please stay off the roads to allow for proper snow removal.

Cars that become stuck will be towed.

They should have alternate side parking that’s heavily ticketed if not abided by this way the roads can be cleaned faster and better

It’s Lakewood not brklyn we don’t need alternate side… There’s enuf space in driveway s!
