Statement From Jackson’s New Mayor, Jennifer Kuhn

As first reported on TLS on Friday, Jennifer Kuhn was voted in as Mayor, vacating her seat as the Jackson Council President. That seat was filled by Vice President Mordy Burnstein.

Ms. Kuhn provided the following exclusive statement to TLS.

I am both honored and excited to be sworn in as Jackson’s first female mayor under the Faulkner Act of government. As we embark on this journey together, I ask for your patience as we navigate the changes ahead. While progress may take time, I assure you that our residents will see meaningful and positive developments. The ordinances passed by this council will be enforced, and collectively, we will ensure that Jackson moves forward.

For far too long—over a decade—many issues in our town have remained unaddressed. That ends now. I am committed to confronting these challenges directly and delivering the results our residents deserve.

I encourage all residents to continue reaching out to me. My email will remain the same, as will my dedication to serving this community. You will notice my active presence at every council meeting, as I fully support this council and believe our shared commitment to Jackson will be reflected in the work we accomplish together.

Looking ahead, I envision a Jackson Township where every resident feels heard, safe, and proud of our community. Together, we will strengthen our neighborhoods, support our local businesses, and invest in the services and infrastructure that will help our town thrive. The work will be demanding, but I am confident that together, we can build a brighter, stronger, and more vibrant Jackson for all.
