State Police Detectives Find 40 Kilos In Hidden Compartments And Seize Over $1 Million In Cash

Detectives assigned to the New Jersey State Police Drug Trafficking Unit, in conjunction with federal and local authorities, reaped a significant harvest after executing multiple search warrants as the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation, the New Jersey State Police said today.

This cooperative investigation involving the New Jersey State Police, NY/NJ Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force, and the Metuchen Police Department, has culminated in the arrest of four men and the seizure of assets in excess of three million dollars.

The search warrants were executed in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 24 at a warehouse located at 335 High Street in the boro of Metuchen. It was there that detectives arrested Cesar Perez 53, of Bronx, N.Y., Juan Roque 29, of Los Angles C.A., Carlos Marroquin 50, of Los Angles C.A., and Divanis Mendoza 35, of New York N.Y.

In addition to the arrests, detectives recovered 40 kilos of Cocaine and over 1 million dollars in cash. Six vehicles were also seized including a 2003 Saturn Vue, 2004 Saturn Vue, 2000 Ford Excursion, 2004 Ford Econoline Van, 2004 Honda Accord, and a 2001 Freightliner tractor. Four of these vehicles contained complex electronically activated hidden compartments known as “traps.”

All four men were charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute, Money Laundering, and Conspiracy. The bail for each was set at $250,000 (no 10%) and they were lodged in the Bergen County Jail.

  1. If any of you read the article correctly you will see that the bust was NOT in Lakewood butin Metuchin. So no slumlords and LCSW was not involved.

  2. Gee….all Latino names? Just maybe this has something to do with the Mexican gangs…Bloods, Crips….living very, very, far away from Lakewood? Hello?
