Starting Tuesday: Lakewood Police Department to host free monthly child passenger safety checks

The Lakewood Police Department will be hosting a monthly Child Passenger Safety Checkpoint.

Starting Tuesday, February 5th, the event will be held on the first Tuesday of every month, between 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the Fire House at 800 Monmouth Avenue.

Certified Child Passenger Safety technicians will inspect your car seat for expiration, recalls, improper installation and proper use. If any issues are observed, the technician will address the problem(s) and educate the caregiver. The caregiver will be able to uninstall and reinstall the car seat in case they need to install the car seat in another vehicle.
