  1. Lakewood police reportedly received a call on Sunday from a Lakewood resident who told them he had seen a UPS driver walk off with a nosh package that was delivered to a Lakewood home, according to unconfirmed and unreliable sources.
“The Lakewood resident reported seeing the UPS driver walking off with a large container of nosh and beverages, while scarfing down a stolen bag of pop corners and guzzling down several cans of pilfered sprite,” an LPD officer reportedly told the sources. “We quickly located the thief and arrested him.”
The officer also said that, “The thief later showed us a note, which he claimed was affixed to the aforementioned container, that said: ‘For our delivery drivers – Amazon, Instacart, UPS, USPS, Fedex etc! We appreciate you!! Enjoy a drink and snack!’ ”
“The thief clearly forged the note shortly after his arrest in order to conceal his crime,” the officer said. “So now he’ll also be charged with forgery. Best of luck to him.”
“Was it really worth going to jail for a few cans of sprite and some nosh?” the officer asked in disbelief. “Sheesh!”
