Listeriosis, a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, is an important public health problem. The disease primarily affects older adults, pregnant women, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems. However, rarely, persons without these risk factors can also be affected. The risk may be reduced by recommendations for safe food preparation, consumption, and storage. For more information,go to the CDC web site.
UPDATE:
The possibly-infected product was not imported to the U.S., and the recall does not affect any Klik products imported to the United States, as per this letter.

U sure it’s not going to cause Histeria??? No Kliks? Oy…..
Please post my comment its important to let the consumer no the facts I work with paskesz and thay are the importers for this product their is no worry in the states about it
its not something to joke about. listeria is the worst fear of any food manufacturer. its not easy to get rid of. it can be deadly for people with compromised immune systems.
that is why i dont like purchasing food items from china….or third world countries that dont have great health inspection department. it could happen in any country – even usa- but the health department will catch it and the company does not want to be facing legal action if someone gets sick before they do a recall…
One digit is missing from the phone number. Can you please correct? I have a couple of cases of that stuff.
Got this from a friend: Note: Paskez Candy Co, the overseas importer of Klik, asked us to clarify that the issue is only related to Unilever’s product in Israel, and does not affect any exported merchandise.
