By Avishai M. So Lakewood is expected to get another storm this weekend, although it’s not expected to be nearly as harsh as last weeks. But you know something? It’s gonna be the same story all over again. Snow comes down, people get edgy, they try and clear the snow, drivers head out, cars get stuck, Chaveirim is called, plow trucks can’t get by Mayor and Chief get on camera to tell people to use common sense…I mean, will people even bother learning from their mistakes?
Even if you’re from the lucky few who got your street plowed first, what’s your rush? Where are you headed when there’s 6-8 inches of snow on the ground? Is it an emergency? Call the police. Is your wife and kids getting to you and you must get out of the house? Well, I’m not a psychiatrist so I don’t know what to answer on that.
But C’mon. Get it? If the news is reporting there will be snow, just stay put and listen to your officials. You think they want you to stay home so that they can have the whole road for themselves? Could be, but I doubt it.
Accidents? Lakewood? Impossible. But you never know, with the snow and ice, even Lakewood may see an accident or two. Okay, that wasn’t funny.
But sometimes I do believe it when they say common sense isn’t too common, just look at last storm.
And in case you forgot too fast, before the last storm the media was reporting 12-18 inches. I don’t think anyone was expecting double that.
Anyway, hope you get the idea.
See you at the pizza shop. Before the storm.

This shouldn’t be a issue at all, the snow will fall Friday night and I’m sure our wonderful township will have all the snow cleared out by the time Shabbos ends. Oh wait I still cant park on my street!!

And then get stuck and multiply them and a bunch of other similar chasboines and they all add up. Why can’t we walk to the local shul. I respect them tremendously but there are other places to learn without putting the oilam and yourself in a secuna .please let’s be a chachum.

Some of us have this new thing called work!!! We can not just take off for 3 days because the Township doesn’t plow!!! Maybe if the plows came right away this wouldn’t be an issue. Believe me; we’d love to be in the pizza store – but we have to make aliving. We’ve got property taxes to pay!!
we will get around 3 4 in and next week Tuesday is the big snowstorm over a foot so thats the one we will need to worrie about ys
since the first day after the storm is Shabbos hopefully they will do a lot of plowing with less cars on the road.
