According to an online survey, almost 50 per cent smokers who made an attempt to quit smoking on their own could not succeed in their attempt. They felt that professional help was needed. The survey was conducted ahead of World No Tobacco Day and it polled 15,559 Internet users in the country. About 50 per cent people who polled said that they tried to leave smoking on their own but were not successful, one-fifth of those polled said taking medication was necessary to help quit smoking. Out of those who took medication only 5 per cent reported taking these drugs. Psychological counseling, medication and a change in behavior were needed for successfully quitting smoking, Zuo Fang, a doctor of a tobacco cessation clinic, said.
Zuo said, “Without combining the three aspects, the success rate is only 2 to 3 per cent. But scientific methods can increase the rate up 30 to 40 percent.” Saidaonline.
Anyone who wants to quit, should consider taking Chantix. It worked for me….so far.
This is absolutely ridiculous!!! Just read “The Easyway to stop smoking”, by Allen Carr. Guaranteed to work. Instead of telling you reasons not to smoke, which every smoker knows and ignores, he systematically explains that there is no reason to smoke. Even if your skeptical, just read it anyway, you have nothing to lose.
Chantix works, after awhile it makes you feel sick when you try to smoke.
Carr Fan, the essay you mention will only work if your body doesn’t crave nicotine. If you have a nicotine addiction like I used to have, no amount of persuasion of any sort will help you quit… Chantix is the way to go.
the allen car book to quit smoking is a bunch of garbage i read it and am still smoking so who ever said its guaranteed isnt true and i am not the only one who says this the only way to quit is cold turkey.
