Police: Smell Of Smoke Around Lakewood Is From Lakehurst

Police tell TLS there should be no concern regarding the smell of smoke currently around Lakewood. Police say they have received information from Lakehurst that there is currently a controlled burn taking place, with proper permits.

For the same reason that we get permits in Lakewood to build houses even though the extra traffic affects the surrounding towns.

Any controlled fire on Federal property require a permit and a plan thats about two inches thick full of preplaning and sign offs before any thing happens.
