  1. Additional isn’t the issue it’s PROPER personnel. It’s a basic issue in all USPS and DMVs across America. They hire lazy slow workers who don’t care about the people waiting. Until that gets fixed there’s no answer. It’s been like that forever…

  2. Lakewoods branch of USPS is a terrible mess. They turn away Amazon trucks. They mark undelivered packages as delivered. They lie. They claim they don’t have packages that they have. To fix USPS Lakewood, the administration there needs to be chucked and start afresh. With people of integrity and people with the koach to get things done. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every single business that gets many packages a day from them are beyond fuming with them!!!!!!!

  3. Absolutely they should! The workers are great and work fast but there simply are too many customers for them to get to everyone quickly.

  4. everyone should know that usps offers free pickup from your home, no need to go down
-you need to schedule pickup b4 12am for the next day
-usps website has an issue if you type lakewood township instead of lakewood, they will deny pickup
    – many online sites offer better pricing than in store
-if you don’t have internet, most of your friends do
    the Beard!

    • The store in GG Plaza is quick in and out.

I haven’t been to USPS in years. I send everything by buying and printing a label from their site or Stamps.com, schedule a regular pickup. Put the stuff out. Gets picked up. Easy-Peasy.

  5. You can post about it all day nothing will ever be done.

When they moved 7 years ago, they downgraded from 6 counters to 2 counters. Which normal business moves locations in order to make the customer experience less pleasant? ????

  6. Not just the post office, All government offices, The Motor Vehicles, passports, The Courts. The employees punch in and punch out thus get paid by the hour which is very bad; the employees should get paid by the transaction for example $2 for each transaction or 2% commission of each transaction than the lines will move.

  7. Old Problem

When the post office was on Clifton ave

There were 4 or 5 windows for personal to Service customers most days there was just one worker at the window
You were lucky if there were 2 people working the front desk on any given day

This for a city/Town with a population of over 100,000 people

  8. If you have a business sending more than a few packages they do not pickup. You need to bring it in yourself. This is because they don’t have enough personell to service business pickups even if you ordered it online. We need to get our state & federal elected officials involved to lobby for improvements.

  9. Actually the biggest problem there is the customers who have no clue as to what they are doing. I’ve been behind too many people who ask the same question 10 different ways because they don’t like the answer they were given. If you have multiple boxes go online and print your own labels so that all you have to do is walk in the side entrance and drop them off in the bins. Two minutes and your done.If you just have a couple of packages again, go online and print the labels then put them in the bin as you walk in the front door. Don’t bog the people behind the counter with things that you can handle ahead of time. Need stamps? most grocery stores and many ATM’s sell them as well.

  10. Most transactions can be done at the small usps location in gourmet Glatt plaza on Madison Ave. They are very quick and officiant!! BP graphics also has small post office by the pick up door .

  11. The store is a mess, friendly and kind but they need more personnel.
While we are on this topic, mention must be made on the terrific usps drivers that go way beyond their call of duty to help out the Lakewood community!
