Yes there is no problem and the money is going to a good cost
Great rage bait! This is the perfect organization for this post. And to answer your question, Minyan Shelanu is a great organization that needs the money. Therefore obtaining the money by any means allowed by law and the Torah is the right thing to do. Who cares if others would like it or not. Minyan Shelanu isn’t in the business of making ppl feel good. It is in the business of give those that don’t feel good a place to go without being judged. They don’t judge and don’t care if you do.
Should TLS be questioning this?
u clearly missed the point of this, it was to get u to click on it
Why is it any different than all the other organizations that raffle off cars, sheitels, trips, and fancy vacations?
TLS, that was awful clickbait. At least you could have been nice.
You can ask this question about so many crazy things that go on in this town- should organizations be holding such fancy fund raisers and nights out for men? The list can go on and on…
another guy misses the point! lets see how many people think its a real question of opposition… just wait and see all the comments…
Such a needed institution in our community! And everyone (including the great Rabbi Abadi) there volunteers- so every penny goes to the cause!
This really had me laughing out loud! I have a relative affiliated with the Minyan. This is just his sense of humor. I wonder if it was his idea. Good Job!
Horav Abadi Shlit”a is an absolute tzaddik. This town owes him a debt of hakoras hatov for what he has done and what he continues to do for so many in this town. Whatever it takes to help him continue his עבודת הקודש let’s do it!…. and let’s not worry about all this other stuff!
let’s see how many people would buy a ticket l’shma- and skip the prize if they win
I guess lately there isn’t a lot of news so we decided to write articles on different organizations.
I am wondering if Hashem is excited about these type of articles, especially when Rosh HaShana is around the corner.
Minyan shelanu is a great organization and they do great things for the community,
That being said promoting the idea that people in town who could barely pay tuition will be walking around with $100,000 watch and creating peer pressure on their friends and neighbors to join the watch trend is a negative thing.
But maybe when they ask where he got it, it will help people get involved in the good peer pressure (kin’as sofrim) of donating.
Minyan is great. I’m just wondering, what makes that watch worth $110K? I’m not a maven, just wondering..
I don’t know, but I looked it up. Check it out. Good shiiii
This whole idea is sick. Minyan shelanu is not any worse than every other organization doing it…
