Yes, but as a bunch of states not just one big one.

Why not? Canada has the same population as California.
In Congress it wouldn’t really matter because representation is based on population. But why split Canada into say 5 states & give them 10 Senators when they can be admitted as one state & only have 2 Senators?

Better chance of getting Republican ones than most likely getting 2 Democrats.

Well points on drivers license already count…….

Yup

That depends on the State. Where I’m from they only assess points for major out of state infractions. DWI, Vehicular Manslaughter, etc.
But they won’t accept points from out of state nor assess their own points (like NJ does by assessing 2 points for most out of state infractions like speeding).

If the border would actually follow the 49th parallel, the majority of Canadians would actually be American.

I think it’s roughly 70%. And we’re talking major cities too: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City etc.

But realistically it was either a snafu or an intentional dig at the dictators of Canada.

Canada needs to loose Trudeau. A proud and strong country, did well under Prime Minister Stephen Harper who was pro Israel and not a leftist. It’s ok USA, Canada is good on its own

Absolutely not! We got rid of our Monarchy back in 1776, and don’t need another one.

Um, if they become a state they would have to give up their monarchy, duh.

All that we can use if the first 20 miles of Canada next to the border with the US. The rest of the country is mostly artic wasteland…

Yes, Canada benefits from being the US neighbor. They are in many ways an extension of the US.

Mergers

With a lot of these countries collapsing (read the news about France this week, also Syria), I think just like how the bigger guys need to swallow up the smaller guys, how mergers save companies, that it makes sense for a country that’s failing economically to merge with another country and share their wealth and GDP.

Some people think that this is a serious question. I’m not sure if I should laugh or cry.

Trudeau is a jerk and I hate Canada , but it’s a shtickel babyish to call him Governor, no? Not befitting for a president (although I do like Trump)
