R’ Yossi was a Rebbi at Torah Academy of Brooklyn (TAB) for 20 years, taught English at Yeshiva of Brooklyn (YOB) and Yeshivah Nesivos Chaim before moving to Lakewood.
Shiva will take place at 1163 Cecil Court in Lakewood. Shacharis will be 8:15, Mincha 7:00 and Maariv 9:00.

I had R Hauptman as a teacher in yeshiva many years ago in YOB. The nicest man with the nicest smile, and one of the most popular teachers in the entire school. May his memory be a blessing.

I had R’ Hauptman more recently than other commenters, when he taught at Nesivos Chaim a couple of years ago. He was very dedicated to his teaching and had great patience for students to understand and get things done right. He was a very understanding person and will be missed.
