Shecitah Demonstration At Yeshivat K.T

PHOTOS & VIDEO (0ver 10 minutes) below of the Shecitah demonstration at Yeshivat K.T. this morning. The Shochet taught the kids about Shecitah and dissected the chickens to show them all the different parts of the bird. The show was voluntary. (Warning: Graphic content. kids who didn't want to see it didn't have to. some kids find it very interesting. in fact my son really enjoyed it.

I'm sure the school made sure their neighbors were ok with this before they did it. I had an experience with a neighbor who kept chickens and slaughtered them from time to time, and it was extremely unpleasant to have this experience forced upon myself and my family.

slaughtering is NOT an enjoyment . not quite sure how your son enjoyed it . Torsah says in order to eat meat you need to schecht it first . noway way is it enjoyable. learning about it is a whole different story

everyone needs to chill out. the shoichet acted in a very humane manner with the chicken. i think it's a big kiddush hashem
